What a stunning HJ camp item...

look, what stunning item I`ve got today. It is really huge, I put a cup nearby for size comparison.

I would bet it hang over the entrance of an HJ camp.

It looks really brilliant in hand...

          That is impresive!

I agree it would be used for a temporary entrance. Would the metal 'bolts' reflect light when polished? (Not saying you should polish one!).

I wonder if this is a standard item? Would there be a photograph with it in use if so?

          Chris.

I'm sure it is a standard item. It was produced by a company, unfortunately their paper label is not complete any more.

Ahh, that makes sense. A company delivered the wooden board and the nails separate, and the nails were hammered in for a small donate.
You are right, if it only could talk...

This item is shown in "Militaria" heft 1 2008
                      http://www.ebay.de/itm/MILITARIA-Hef...item58956e54bf

The "Nagelbrett" was used by the HJ for the 1933 WHW and indeed was hung afterwards in the HJ 'Heim"

Photo's in use in above magazine!

Great item, would love to own one!
