Political Leader Armband

Overall condition appears to be excellent. No bug damage in the wool that I can see. No RZM tag or other markings. Belongs to an 89 year old Veteran. He is offering it for sale. Does it appear to be 100% authentic?

I agree, as well. While the presence of an RZM tag is usually a plus...if it is genuine...the absence is certainly not an indication that the brassard is a fake. RZM tags were glued onto the reverse of the armband and they often fell off during wear, cleaning or mere handling. This piece does not appear to have been mounted to a uniform, so perhaps the tag's glue simply dried up and it got lost in the mists of time and travel!

A nice piece.
