    Plaque identification, please help out !!!

    Hi gents !

    I know this is not the right section for this but.........
    I bought a statue today that had a plaque attached to it with the text:

    Gew. Uffz. Korps
    Stab u. N. Zug P18

    Can anyone give me any info on this ?
    Seller says it's some pioneer batalion but I have no clue so please help me out :-)

    I would read the following:

    Gew. = Gewidmet = dedicated

    Uffz.-Korps = Unteroffiziers-Korps = non-commissioned officers corps

    Stab u. N.Zug P18 = Stab und Nachrichten Zug P 18 = staff and signals platoon P18
