This type is a highly faked style, and although I am unsure if this one is a period ring or if they made this type in the period, it is convincing, and I like it . My theory has always been that fakes were copied from originals , so Can you tell us more about how you located it, and show the inside markings. The patina has an old look to it, and although some fakers will bury stuff like that, and unirnate on it, and then cover it up...it doesn't seem like any of the fakes , IMO. I know the ring collectors will , and should chime in....so lets see what the consensus is.
Oh and please take a front shot showing the left side that shows what is beside the wreath to the left (as the hammer is on the right, so that spot on the ring but on the left side).if possible.
