    Nurnburg Plate - Wall Plaque

    Hi, I have this non maker marked Nurnburg plate of which I've never seen another and wonder are these common/rare?

    Written on it : NURNBURG STADT DER REICHSPARTEI TAGE

      pewter

      The ones I've seen were made out of pewter.

        Thanks guys, yes it is made of pewter and I meant to state it is approx 8" in diameter.

              Nice pewter plate - if you look close on the bottom left hand side in the trees you will see the maker marks - my camera dosent do well with close -ups sorry-

                great item, i had one and sold it a few yrs ago for 300uk, so im guessing 500 bucks is the worth these days

                    Very Nice

                    Good Looking Score on an original Nurnberg plate.
                    They can be found on the Net from time to time which some E-Vendors classify it as a Souvenir Remembrance Plate or along those lines.

                      These plates were souvenir pieces most probably sold at the rallies.

                        I agree, Erich. These plates did not have any dates on them, so they were probably sold at the Nuremberg Party Congresses (RPTs) year after year.
