Political desk eagle, Any opinions on who's desk an eagle like this would have been on, I know soldiers bust were given to soldiers as awards for different events but political eagles? Thanks for any opinions. Ralph

It is a good piece but the finish is mostly gone.
I have one exactly the same but with a dedication plaque on it.
The plaque showed the soldier's name and the date, and above it was an engraving of an Iron Cross.

I agree: quite a handsome piece! The presence of the wreath on the pedestal is reminiscent of funerary creations, IMO; anyone else have similar thoughts?

Funereal Wreath.

A Superb Raptor Ralph.
My first thought upon glimpsing this magnificent Bird was in the area of Funereal or Memorial also. May well have been in a Veteran Related Hospital too.
