    Bust of Hitler

I don't know which forum to post this in, so sorry if it's in the wrong place.

This is 600mm high & 400mm wide. Seller describes it as porcelain or clay but doesn't know anything about it's history.

I have no idea if this is a period piece or someones own modern creation

    Thank, Tony

If period, I think Hitler would have had the creator of this thing imprisoned.

Cant say anything about this specific piece...but early 30's was when there was little regulations on all kinds of goofy things with AH's likeness.eventually the NSDAP passed some menacing decrees warning off the "worst sorts of kitsch." Even banning certain artists from creating anymore work.

Of course, one man's kitsch is another mans art.

My point is that applying "tastfulness" will not necessarily prove something to be real or fake when it comes to early TR goofy items
