NSDAP long membership 3rd Class lapel button

Hi - I know what the medals and medal bars are worth, but what is this button-hole pin worth? I am sure it is original with a brass(?) pin.

I've seen these vary from $40 - $300 in the last year.

I got one on the lower end of that amount just the other month. And then on this site (Here) it 'sold' for $275. They are also available on other sites for around the $100 range.

If you go by availability and rarity they should demand a price on the higher end of that scale, but I think the demand may not be there either. Think of what else you can buy for $300 bucks other than a lousy button emblem!

If you need it to complete your set and its a reasonable price - go for it!

This is IMO one of those pieces one can't be sure about originality. The device was intended for ribbon bars and a better option for ribbon rosettes would be the 9mm device of the actual award. With only one prong, it would be easy to insert the device to enhence the value. In general, I think this piece is rather poorly made and I've no idea what kind of ribbon that is sticking out on the left center.

      cheers

I am unsure which ribbon you are referring to. This device is composed of 2 differnt size ribbons. There is the "bow" which is small, then the bow is wrapped with a much smaller ribbon. I have real trouble believing that some faker came up with these rare ribbons in these sizes just to make this item. I think it is original- not fake. Are there any others with opinions? Furthermore, if some faker went to the expense of having these rare ribbons duplicated, wouldn't you see more of them? Do you think the faker went to the expense of having these ribbons duplicated only to make one button-hole device? Makes no sense to me. But maybe I am wrong. I am no expert, that is why I posted the device. In conclusion, I think the device is well made. It is sturdy, and will not come apart easily.

I agree that this seems to be a fine original.

I think the "ribbon that is sticking out on the left center" is this one:

As for the divise, I see nothing wrong with it - yes it is the same divise used on ribbon bars like this one:
