Personally speaking, I have never found brassards bearing NSDAP rubber stamp markings to be aesthetically attractive. I can't say whether the stampings were done in the period or not, or for what reason if they were, but I find it hard to believe that the NSDAP and its organizations -- always so careful about uniformity in appearance -- would want anyone to walk around in a uniform with rubber stampings on the front and back of it. Again, this is just my opinion and such stampings may well have been done within the period and with some reason behind them -- and I have seen a number of examples of this phenomenon over my many years in this hobby -- but it has always put me off. With apologies...

I do not know if the armband is okay, but with the uniform-regulation from March 1, 1934 it was a regulation the armband was to be stamped with a Rundstempel der vorgesetzten SA-Stelle.
For the SAR II the stripes had to be 1.0 cm wide silvergrey.Comment

Thanks, Wim -- very helpful. So I gather from your note that only the SA had such a requirement of a round stamp on the brassard, from 1934 onward? Did other uniformed organizations -- such as the PL, the SS, NSKK, etc. -- also enact such a requirement?

NSKK, according the uniform-regulations (Anzugsordnung für das NSKK) from January 11, 1935 states the stamp to be included (as for the SA). The mention of the stamp was no longer included in the uniform-regulations from December 1, 1936;
SA, according the Verordnungsblatt der Obersten SA-Führung from February 3, 1936 it was said with number 32: according the SA uniform-regulations from 1934 the armband has to be stamped. This measure was of great value for the period of struggle, die Kampfzeit. With an immediate entry the armbands were no longer stamped! The period of struggle was over.....
The SS I do not know about, but the PL yes (they followed largely the SA in the early 1930's). I guess they have done the same.
From anyway about the mid 1930's the stamp was no longer a must!Comment
