HJ Tape

Hello,

need your help to estimate this measering tape for sports. Was it used in the HJ? No RZM tag, but STABIL KAPEL, 15 m.

It's a "cloth" tape measure....German made, probably period, possibly could have been used for "sports"..... nothing shown makes it Hitler Youth or anything special.....(Stabil Kapel 15m means "15 meters- non-streach" (my translation*) [Stable "band"]

Just because it's German and from "the old days"....doesn't make it anything more than a tape measure.....used in all phases of construction work, road building, plus everything else a "long" tape measure would have....Sports being only one possibility.

I don't think it has much interst or value....IMO. Of course...if it WAS H.J. marked (or any other organization) that WOULD BE a differant story.

Certianly could have had many "possible" stories, but it can't tell us more than "what it is"....too bad.

Sportstraining

Thanks for explainations. Yes, this measuring tape has only private value. My father as in leading HJ-position used it by sportstraining bis boys, I believe.
