An interesting piece for sure - never seen that before.

      A door plaque - perhaps.

Could also be for the back of bigger official books and document folders.

I thought I saw something like this on the Ruptured Duck website a long time ago. I can't remember what the description attributed this to.

Bill Shea I'm sure wouldn't have this pos on his website; & Thorsten, your interpretation is just outstanding. IT IS A HUNK OF FAKE JUNK that was all over the place back in 1970's gun shows & flea markets. It is pictured on page 42 of the old WW#2 Products Ltd Catalog ( of their Fakes ), Box 2063, St. Louis, MO, as their item #60003 Nazi Brass Door Push Plate @ $16.oo.

I used to see these at flea markets all about during that period above mentioned, as the man (silesian) is telling you straight...Pure crapola fo sho....down to the edge markings....

I thought people would appreciate seeing this innovative use of one of these on a fire extinguisher.

These fake door plates have also been in the UK for at least the past 30 years, sorry.

Agree--these are thought to have been produced in the UK, and they did start turning up in the 1970s. Fantasy item! Silesien--good for you that you kept your old WW#2 catalogues!

I've had mine for about 30 years. Impressive, but still junk. BTW, it's too thin for actual use as a door plate. It would get beat up in no time.

Indeed he has, and I seem to recall he had them in his old photocopied black and white posted catalogues as well. So they have been knocking around for a looooooooong time.
