NSDAP Mitgliedsbuch with Schwarz Sig and Ehren-Dolch

Hi Everyone,

Thought others might find this of interest. NSDAP Mitgliedsbuch (1927 issue), # 107,761 to a member of the SA.

Of particular interest is the signature of Schwarz; hand-signed in ink if I am not mistaken.

Dues stamps from 1930-1937; incl. the stamp for Reichsparteitag 1933.

Another very interesting feature is the presence of the entitlement slip for the SA Ehren-Dolch and Old Comrades sleeve chevron. First time I've had a book with this in, although I remember seeing another on the forum: I think it was worded slightly differently though - Ehrendolch des Stabchefs (or some such like).

Many thanks for sharing this artifact, Toby! I too enjoy seeing these early membership books, especially when they are as detailed and filled-in with dues and events stamps as this one is.

I imagine this fellow regularly kicked himself for not getting his NSDAP application filled out and submitted early enough to get him a Golden Party Badge! Methinks if he had submitted it even a month earlier, he would have had a shot at getting a number below 100,000.

Thanks for replying Br. James. It had occurred to me that he must have been very close to receiving the GPB.

Do you agree the Schwarz signature is hand-signed? I do feel it is but always reassuring to have further opinions.

Yes, it looks to me like an original Schwarz signature; I believe Schwarz personally signed many of the earlier NSDAP Membership Books -- far more than Hitler did...but then again, it was Schwarz' job to do so!
