Reassessment time

Sorry, but when viewing the obverse I was immediately struck by the missing enamel and over splash on the edges. That and the head of the eagle looked like it was never in detail shape. Looking again I can see that may be from the flash or way photo was taken. The ribbon is fine and the reverse is in much better shape detail wise that you don't see on the Repros of the past and present.
It does look now like it has the hallmarks of a good but well worn 15 yr Cross.

Hi Ralph,

No offense Nick but it aint a Souval. The Souval has a little head and the ring is sometimes stamped 30. This one is clearly a 'Mayer' RZM M/170 sometimes stamped '2' on the ring, unmistakable due to the stipling or hatching surrounding the swaz inside the wreath and the big head,
