Luftschutz RLB Officer pattern armband - chain-stitched motif

Hello all,

At first glance I believed this armband to be authentic but when looking at this RZM tag I am not so sure. Any thoughts on this one?

the brassard could to be an (selfmade) original one, the RZM-label is not original!

- Selfmade brassard with an RZM-label?

- An used brassard with an brandnew label?

- At last: RLB-Stuff never had an RZM-marking!!!

The brassard looks interesting...

The rays from the star do not match with an original, also the inner blue embroidery is to small, in my opinion. It's work done by an amateur.

Look in Littlejohn's "Defending the Reich", pages 338, 339 and 342 and compare!

And as already said the RLB should not have RZM tags!

I have to agree. The brassard is interesting. It realy looks like a self made period original, made for whatever reason. Obviously someone attached the fake RZM label to make what the seller believed to be a reproduction, more saleable.

Take away the label and then make an evaluation.

I have seen this too often; a fake RZM label is attached to an otherwise original cloth item, again to make it more saleable. But as we know, the fake RZM label poisons a real original, putting into doubt an original item.
