    HJ pin in the estand.

I am always interested in uncommon items to add to my collection. I was looking at this pin in the estand, and even though I find it minty as described regardless, I have the suspicion that it has been cleaned. I contend this due to the dark spots (patina, dirt, if you will) found in the sides of some of the letters and inside the national symbol and not in other adjacent and / or similar areas. Any comments?

Well, normally, in case of a mint HJ Leader Badge, only the top lettering is polished and the rest of the badge has a warm, mat gold tone. So you could be right, or the pictures are horrible...

Personally I feel this badge has been heavily polished as it looks nothing like an untouched mint badge. It is way too shiny and reflective on every part of the badge. It appears to be original but very strongly cleaned.

To me , this badge has lost all of its original matt gold finish down to the brass base metal, then seams to have been shined up to look gold . To bad as this has ruined its true value .

That's indeed like it should be.
