Congrats if it is in your possession. Very good Gold party badge of one of the 1st 100,000 members. Excellently preserved original.

          Jakob Kutheius, SS-Untersturmführer, #9984.

Aus: Aachener Nachrichten“ 23. Mai 1945:

„Das Gericht der Militärregierung in Köln verurteilte Jakob Kutheius zu vier Jahren Gefängnis, weil er bei der Ausstellung der Identitätskarte bestritten hatte, in der NSDAP gewesen zu sein.“

Thanks and yes, it´s in my posession
It was attributed to SS-Untersturmführer Jakob Kutheius. He fought in WW I and got awarded the Iron Cross 1st class, Iron Cross 2nd class and Wound Badge in Silver for his actions in WW I, he became war disabled with a invalidity of 30 %, which meant that he probably lost a limb.

He joined the NSDAP 25.11.1927 and SS 20.07.1931, so he was an early SS-member with the SS-number "9984". Within the SS he served in the SD. He also had the right to wear the "Old Fighters Chevron", Totenkopf Honor Ring and Golden Party Badge, he also recived the Julleuchter.
His Party number was 71134 and it is that number that is engraved on his Party Badge.

I also have Jakob Kutheius 1929 Nürnberg Party Day Badge (pictures posted before).

              Hi Göran,

I agree, as well. You've got yourself a fine piece of history here! Keep it safely and treat it well; as you know, we are all merely caretakers of history, and whatever we maintain is done for the ages to come.

Agreed, nice GPB, but that 1929 badge,is it okay? I'm not an expert on them but it doesn't look right?or has it just a mint finish left on it? I defer to other more knowledgable 1929 badge collectors

So then it retains an excellent finish. Like I say not my area of specialism

                        Thanks for your replies!
It was only good respons for the 1929 RPT in the tinnie section so I am quite sure it´s good. And it is in a really nice almost mint condititon (not so good scans though).

He careful with that needle, though. If that crack propagates, it might seriously impact value. I would possibly consider a repair before it comes off.

Yeah, I actually saw that now. I bought this group for some years ago and have´nt really got the time to look more closely until now... The GPB was the concern for me at that time.
I will try to take it to a jeweler and have it repaired.
