Do you see problems with color and the letters ?

Thank you for your answer !

    Regards

Here are a couple of older threads, with other signs (one a repro) to compare.

I haven't personally seen one with a black background, but I have seen a brown background, and photos of red and green backgrounds, and even one with black lettering on a white background. I personally feel that there was a large variety of these signs, with different backgrounds and lettering fonts. I'm just talking about the variety in AH Str signs; not to mention other types.

To me, the way the rust is bleeding into the enamel on the one on the Estand is a good sign.

            thank you.

            I like your conclusion :

"Keeping in mind that there are fakers out there that can do most anything, I still think it would be difficult to fake old rust and wear like this."

(question : do you think that this thread is in good section or must post it on flags section ?)

it's hard to fake the rust of behind...
