          Yes, 1929 Reichsparteitag in Nurnberg was the first really mass action of the party, more then 40.000 SA and 500 SS passed march on the city streets.
          Veterans of the War and members of the Stahlhelm took part in this Reichsparteitag too. Dates on the shield are interestingly :
          1914 -year of the War beginning.
          1919 -creation of the DAP ( NSDAP in 1920)
          1929 -Reichsparteitag.
          As it is necessary to note that it was the first official award of the party, instead of simply memorable item.
          Maybe someone has the photos from this event ?
