    What is this?

    I was told to put this here, for an expert opinion.
    I found it at my grandpas house, and i would like to know what it is?
    I know you guys know everything about these things, so please help me.
    I would sure like to know why my grandpa has something like this laying around...

    It is a NSDAP 25 Year Service Cross and it is missing the eagle & wreath from the obverse .If it is an original or not I do not know as these are not in my area of collecting.
