I've never seen that before, seems like a lot of trouble to go to for a fake.

thats exactly what I said earlier today .

maybe it was original part of a entrance to a buisness or hotel ?

I agree with Vid -- though I must add that this piece gives me the creeps! Don't think I'd want it sitting around my collection room/office/library, looking over my shoulder!

            Halloween

Looks almost like the deathmasks they used to make of famous and infamous people.
This ones pretty ghoulish, though would be taken out once a year on Halloween to scare the kids.

WW#2 Ltd. used to sell these AH faces back in the 70s. I never saw one in person, but my guess would be this is one of their fakes mounted to a plaque. Probably cast from an AH bust.

Am i the only one who doesn't like the quality?

I know of some examples of drawings of Hitler (not even intentionally!) that were not accurate but still published, resulting into the artist to get into a lot of trouble. Also some bronze plaques were made only after carefull studies of Hitlers portrait and then after approval taken into production.

This 3d stone walldecoration looks like more like John Cleese having a bad day on the set of Monty Pyton! i can't imagine it to be real, sorry.

                  Plaque

The last reply tells you what you want to knowm and the full frontal view confirms it. If the workmanship and the likeness were any worse, it would be called "modern art", like a Pacasso where the human head isn't assembled in the right order. Looks more like something made by a homeless man in SanFrancisco if he had tools.
