    Desk Eagle - opinions?

    Hi,

As we know most HB desk eagles did not have any RZM marks. This has the RZM and foundry marks.
The finish is gone and I also notice that the item itself has some rough edges that have been filled off.
However, there seems to be a bit of original finish on the talon.
The base seems to be made of the common granite seen in most desk eagles.

What are your thoughts on this? Has anyone encountered this?

No markings. Well worn green felt base. Vey heavy!

Both are beautiful pieces. The wing style with open feathers reminds me of a large eagle that may have once stood at one of the Ordensburgen...Sonthofen or Vogelsang perhaps? Can't quite recall where I've seen it...?

mil, you stated there were traces of the original finish around the talons could you please post pics of this? i don"t understand how the finish would be gone ,yet the base appears near perfect ...just wondering .......

Hi, I dont have any more photos as the eagle does not belong to me.
What I would like to see is a discussion whether this eagle is recognised as legit as I've never come across such a variant having full markings.

                              What are your thoughts?
