You are lucky if you see any origional CBs at one of the big shows and if you do, it's usually a 2nd pattern badge. I have seen only one 1st pattern badge at the last 3 MAX shows.

Just saw this thread, so I had to compliment you on the 2 Blood Orders--I generally only keep the 1st pattern pieces, but your 2nd pattern with the paperwork is one that would tempt me to add it to my collection had I seen it for sale. Beautiful 1st pattern as well!!

Hate to say it but like Erich I have become a 1st pattern snob when it comes to BOs but with the document I would love to have it in my collection as well.

Really a gorgeous group, Mark! Great to see such fine BO's.
I know it's only a small detail in such a great group but could you take a close-up picture of the front and reverse of the Adolf Hitler 1933 badge? It's very interesting that it came directly from a family because I, and most other enamel collectors, consider the AH 1933 always as post war from the 70's.
