I was lucky enough to be in Berchtesgaden recently. I always try to do some digging there and, this time, I found these.
There has been very heavy rain recently [not good] and much has been washed out from the tunnels.
The marble tile some of you will recognise. There are pictures showing these tiles in situ in the tunnels.
The big metal object is, I'm fairly sure, a bracket for cabling or more likely pipework.
The little ceramic fragment with manufacture marks is nice. I have seen this style before.
But what I found most interesting was the coloured fragment. It is too heavy for dinnerware and looks to be part of a heavy wall or floor tile. Does anyone recognise this pattern? I know Eva Braun had her own room[s] down there so it may have been blown/washed down from one of those.
Also, what is the best way to clean up the rusty metal lump?
Enjoy.
Chris
