Enamel sign - KZ Ebensee related?

    Hello from Upper Austria,

this week I got this enamel sign directly from Ebensee - there were found more of them ...

Which is written in Polish - "NIE DOTYKAC! URZADZENIE ELEKTRYCZNE!"
Maybe in Polish because there were many polish prisoners in Ebensee?

Who has ever seen this type of enemal sign? Perhaps on an electrically charged fence?

    thank you and

    kind regards

      Hi Mametz,

      thank you for the answer.

Do you think that these enamel signs were reproduced many times postwar and not very old or produced many times before `45 ???

I´m sure that this enamel signs are old cause I don´t know if they are in relation of electrically charged fence of the KZ?

Perhaps someone has already seen a photo where they were placed?

      Kind regards

By looking at the disproportional positions of the four holes in the four corners with which this sign was to be fixed via nails I assume this piece was not produced in the Reich or under supervision of the Reich either.

          Hi.

          I am directly from Ebensee.

Have seen much fotos of the KZ and never seen such a sign.

Imo a story, nothing to do with the KZ.

            @Thorsten B.

            ... a plausible argument!

            Hi Bernhard,

            thank you for your comment.

Do you have any idea where they could come from? - 100% found in Ebensee (about 30 signs)

            best regards to Ebensee

              .

its a standard warning plate used throughout Poland till at least mid 1990s on most electrical poles in the country. there must have been millions of those produced but nothing to do with KZ or III Reich for that matter.
              cheers
