Was this part of the Petersen grouping Bill Shea sold several years ago? Multiple documents were included in the group. He was a Party Speaker if I remember.

I am pretty sure it is one and the same person. You might check with Bill Shea at Ruptured Duck. Perhaps he might have the photos. I have some somewhere if I can find them.

He was a Golden Party Badge recipient according to his photo, but I can't make out his first name. I might have something on him if you can read his first name for me.

Claus, and Hans as middle name.

Thanks, Andreas. As it turns out, I have two 'Petersens' on my GPB list that respond to 'Claus Hans:'

Claus Petersen held NSDAP Number 22361 and was Ministerialrat (Milisterial Advisor) in Kiel. I have no further information about him.

Hans Petersen held NSDAP Number 9986, was a Member of the Reichstag and an SA-Obergruppenführer...though his date of birth was 11.2.1893 and therefore does not match the document being studied here.

So my guess would be the Claus Petersen above. Hope this is helpful.

Er, aren't the birthdates the same for Hans? He was a Regierungsdirektor according to the document.

Good catch, Joe, and sorry that my eyes were not cooperating with my fingers when I wrote that! SA-Obergruppenführer Hans Petersen was born on 13.9.1885 and therefore could not be the person in the document. Apologies for my hastiness!

My support stays with Claus Petersen...until someone else can suggest another!

Paul, I have been digging in my files and found some a couple of copies of Petersen documents that Bill Shea had sent me. Here is one. Why don't you contact me.

As you can see from this portion of his PL Ausweis, he was an official in Gau Schleswig-Holstein under GL Lohse.
