This one is a fake but were these "NIEDERLANDE" Wolfshook arm shields actually worn by Dutch NSKK during the war?
or itss it just another example of elaborate colorful (late war) BeVo designs which never saw issuance at all?

No mystery, but facts:
This is the same shield as worn by the Org. Todt, so if it actually was worn by NSKK is not mentioned (note that officially the NSKK did not exist anymore in wartime transportation. All forms of NSKK indications had to disappear), but for the "Transportkorps Speer" (TKS) it was.

For example in the TKS uniform-regulation from late 1944 (about December), it was mentioned as to be worn by foreign volunteers (ausländische Freiwillige) at the left upper arm. Here is was phrased as "Nationalitäten" or "Sprachgruppenabzeichen in Wappenform". Indications about the patch were expected later, so in 1945. The first announcement for this patch for the TKS was made September 18, 1944 as B.B. Nr. 8867/44 as "Uniform-Ordnung für Legionäre"

For the OT it is anyway included in the list of patches as worn by foreign OT-workers, known as ausländische OT-Einsatzarbeiter:
22 of such patches were shown in the "Mitteilungsblatt der Organisation Todt-Zentrale", Nr. 28 from September 30, 1944. It was known as "Landes" or "Herkunftsabzeichen". It was worn at the right upper arm. Special conditions were valid for wearing: soweit sie die Bedingungen noch nicht erfüllt haben.

This is very good information! Is this shield thus pictured as one of the 22? I always thought no picture sources existed. Would it be possible to show a photo of the page it is on. Im sure many collectors would appreciate this!

The one shown is exactly one of the 22 drawings. Often one claims this as NSKK, but actually it is Transportkorps
Speer. The NSKK had hardly any sayings in the TKS. These organizations, but related to headgear, are dealt with in
volume 5 of "Headgear of Hitler's Germany", which just is being released. I must say and as far as I can remember
I have never seen a photograph where such patch is being worn. Within the NSKK they were not worn at all.

I am not able to show plates and photographs. Further I may need this information for a planned article in the future
and so is "under embargo".
