First off it is my guess that this is a vehicle mount , but the rivet system and the small wooden spool would not stand up to vehicle vibration for long.
Piece is just under 8 inches across , when I first looked at this piece I thought the black spool was a rubber bushing hardened over the years. Closer inspection showed that is made from wood., just under the rivets you can see a slight discoloration.
This appears to be a tab that fits into a slot. So what do I have?
Is this a vehicle emblem or some podium piece.
