I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole! Typical poorly executed emblems added to a nice old cigarette box.... but totally worthless now!!!!

I don't know. Doesn't strike me as overtly "Typical poorly executed emblems". They don't appear poorly affixed.

I would wonder about the markings shown. Are they period/typical 'German' markings or something else.

EPNS = Electro plated nickle silver, mostly seen on English items.

Bikers would like it . It appears like there is also a mark on the catch button . I would venture to say most original german military cases would have european silver marks , and lots of cases were made in romania.So Romanian marks may also be found. Most soldiers smoked on all sides in the war, so ,maybe its time for someone to do a smoking thread to show original smoking tobacciana for future reference.
