Way back when Manion's Catalogs were the US collector's only "Super Store" (and were!).....they sold these in the direct sales catalog for something like $20.00 or so......(of course, that was quite alot of $$$ at the time)....didn't snag one then....regret it now. Of course, what they had was long ago and long gone!
Not sure if "absorbed by the DAF" is "exactly correct".....all German Unions were abolished, but Trade Guilds, Specialists Groups, etc. would have kept thier indivigual "Organizational/Trade Specialities" and distinctions (membership pins, Guild emblems, sometimes uniforms & trimmings, buckles, etc.- usually with newly added swastikas in thier design)... all under the overall "authority" of the DAF. (Prewar- of course!).
Nice pin....seldom seen nowadays. The Stickpin book says there's also a silver "Honor Pin" for this origanization, but it's not illustrated.
