yesterday i found this SA Pin on a Flea Marked. I was there with a friend looking for some handbags and some stuff.

It was made ofe Silver (800)


Are the Pin a real one?

Dear Elena

I for one really like this perhaps somewhat superior SA membership lapel pin and I think that it is quite original and period.

Manufactured by Julius Bauer u. Sohn, Zella-Mehlis.

The 800 (.800) by the way signifying the minimal national (German) standard for the silver content (80%).

I can't see anything wrong with it in the photos--I've never seen one in silver but I do have a small party eagle lapel pin that is either 800 or 900 marked, so apparently some of these small pins could be purchased in genuine silver.
