Does anyone know for what this eagle is??? I think it is an original.

It looks original and was meant to be mounted to a plaque and then used as a trophy/Ehrenpreis or remembrance gift, for example.

Erich is right....most likely used on an awards plaque. It's original and very nice. Could you rotate the photos so we can get a better look at the maker mark?
