SA Hochland Lederhosen

My wife has told me this year I will be purchasing and wearing lederhosen to the largest tourist event in Germany- Octoberfest. For the sake of efficiency, attached SA Hochland lederhosen are for sale at a dealer site. I could wear them once and have a nice collectors item. Two birds with the same $$$$.

Do they look right? What is a fair price? Ink seems extremely bright.

Coincidently both have a grey stain on the same spot. $495.00 seems high without the suspenders. Probably spend a life time trying to find an original matching set. Especially before this September

I would disagree. Period photos appear to show Hochland members wearing actual Lederhosen, and not these fabric examples. The stamping on the one pair is an unconvincing afterthought IMO. The so-called NSFK pair in the other thread is fairly ludicrous--in addition it has the wrong type/series/style of RZM label stuck in.

I agree with Erich - In my opinion these items are not original.
I am not an expert on SA Gruppe Hochland by any means, but these cloth lederhosen (Seen on a few German dealers websites) do not inspire me to rush to my credit card to purchase them.

Munchen is a great city, buying lederhosen there is a laughable experience!
Items available are extremely expensive and also extremely tacky.
It is a "Hollywood" copy of German traditions, all available lederhosen are either bright blue etc; and dirndles are also ridiculous!
All appears to cater for the American tourist with large amounts of money to spend, on which is frankly crap.
No self respecting German person would wear these clothes, which bear no resemblance to national dress.
The Oktoberfest is excellent, get drunk - but sober up the following day with a visit to Dachau KZ!

It can be a great time but, it is also a tourist trap and extremely crowded. I personally feel its best days have passed. As I have gotten older, I like the small town fests just as well. I would tell you many Germans buy the costumes just maybe as not as colorful as you describe. There are Kirwa shops that specialize in them. One in particular near Amberg.
