I would sincerely appreciate any opinions as to the authenticity of this NSKK gorget, particularly of the wool backing material, before I try to sell it.

Very nice traffic gorget John. It's hard to tell from the photos if the backing is original. Myself, I would go by feel. The wool on my NSKK traffic gorget has a nice fit around the edges. And it feels like fine wool. I hope this helps. But no question...original.

Hello Ron,
great to see your both gorgets here, especially the one with the hammered links for the chain. You will find both later in the planned gorget-book with a number of close-ups. If all goes as planned I will get tomorrow the DVD with the total lay-out for the 704 pages with about 1,500 photographs and also the planned cover. The German publisher will have it with him at the show at Kassel in Germany where I will meet him. Hope this time all is as good as hoped! If so, they can start printing soon!
Finally a work for over 4 years may then be the result....Comment
