    Chris:
I have to agree with Mr. Hritz. There is no question that Coloradocowboy's German Cross was made by Souval. I own a first class Souval and they match. Plus I showed mine to Bob at the November Pomona Show in Los Angeles, so he know's what Souval crosses look like.

Please do check the design of the oak leaves around the cross pictured to this thread with yours, also do an examination to the materials.

Seller took it to a museum today and was told it was real. Guess that doesn't mean a whole lot just keeping you guys in the loop

If its the one being sold tomorrow...don't waste your time.
Thats a funny story although thinking nobody would know where its at......about museums and such the seller talks about, also states some liked it some didn't , but he sates , he thinks its original...Its a "RINGER"the same guy offered me the same one 4 months ago....I see and have a shot at most of what you buy before you buy much of what you buy. cheers! I also noticed you didnt show the fake aged case and the other medal that is also a fake...good luck ....

Thanks, Juoneen I'm working tomorrow so I wouldn't be able to go to the auction anyway. I was curious about this cross and so I decided to do a forum search, and was surprised to find the same cross that was posted by Coloradocowboy.

An original is something none of us will likely ever have a real shot at...they are in the same catagory as an original stratavarious violin...as they are all accounted for....so are these...and any we would be offered would be high quality fakes made by people who have been faking the high dollar stuff to unsuspecting wealthy nimrods, many who are members here , for years. Might be fun to run it up on a few of the locals who like cowboy may not listen to that little voice inside he heard but didnt listen to , saying "that cant be an original." But likely he said to his own better gut feeling ...BUT..what if it is?? OMG ....what a score...Thats where greed makes good folks get taken advantage of ,at least before forums were around , and at times ... it does happen ,Look at jon fish, thats an example of where the locals should have made him pay...I wasnt interested , but saw it anyway... but not in this grade of rarity where all examples are already in collections or museums....so remember guys , when auction items are running , some of us know its going on even if you try and be real sneaky...and then we who are aware watch to see what you may say, ands just how sneaky you will act......this post has been amusing . my suggestion is do your research off forum, and dont post items coming up ....prior to them running,,,but after to see if you got nailed or made a good decision.. ...just my suggestion ...

                  Ron,

That's a very nice and original German Order despite the negative comment.

A museum told you that it´s real - good that I´m not working in one.

I really dearly would like to see an original period piece one day.

As it seems it just ain´t gonna happen - ever.

                        Chris,

I have read your numerous posts on a previous thread and have no intention of entering into a further discussion with you regarding German Orders.
