turned out very well I actually gave it a warm soap bath and gently used a soft jewelery cloth and I actually swear on the american brand "never dull" ..and not to forget that WMF stands for Quality and will not come of that easy of course that spoon has traces of wear and store..but wonder who maybe had used it back then and for what important meetings it was put on the table to use for the "Klare Fleischbrühe".


btw,I understand correct that at HH Auction offered the dishes only and no silverware?

NO Cleaning!!

Take a soft cloth and gently wipe off the surface grime. It will give it a nice lustre and still retain the natural patina. That's the only cleaning I would suggest. Cleaning and polishing is for silverware when the relatives come for Thanksgiving, NOT valuable artifacts.
