Both crosses are fakes, as they were made in bronze, the real crosses were made in silver gilt.
The crosses with oak leaves and swords are FANTASY items, they never existed even as a prototype.
The third class existed only as prototypes, although Deumer really made about 6 of them, those crosses, most likely, never left the factory for whatever reason, therefore obviously never awarded to anyone.
This type of cross, pictured here, keeps showing times and times again. In two years I have seen over 80 crosses exactly like this, in all classes... and don´t hold the mail!
I suggest you to read the pinned thread about the Deutscher Orden.
Chris Obermeyer.
I also agree these are nice fakes, however, my new collegue is incorrect about the GO with the swords and oaks....they were produced as prototypes. He suggest reading and I suggest John Angolia's book as shown here
I do have this book. The oak leaves with swords (RK Style) is usually attributed to the Firm of Steinhauer & Lück, however, not a single original printed documentation, from the factory, to support such allegation, has surfaced. It´s all pure especullation like many other cases when dealing with Third Reich collectibles. May I remind you that Deumer was the only maker, and that is fully documented. This FACT by itself is reason enough to any serious expert/collector to strongly reject this version or it´s theory.
I cannot believe that another maker was nescessary, simply because the reason or the intantion of the German Government was to award very few authorities with the German Order. From 1942 untill the very end in 1945, almost four full years, only 11 were awarded, most of them already deceased. That is to say that the German Order was not an Order to be mass producted!
Taking to the account that Germany adopted an international system or rule to award Orders and Decorations in five classes (in effect even today) and the fact that the first 3 classes of the German Order were already establish, what´s the reason or use behind this cross I correctly call it fantasy piece?
Furthermore, the design of that cross with oak leaves and swords is IDENTICAL to those now known as fakes. Again, that fact by itself is, in my opinion, a lot more than just a red flag!
Finally, I don´t feel like opening exceptions on an item lacking all kinds of documentation, this will help fakers and will give a chance for more “exceptions” in other items, or so we have already seen this several times.
Neither the Oakleaves nor the Swords on the Weitze piece are the S&L pattern.
S&L or any other company never made oak leaves and swords for the German Order during wartime. These are fantasy items, but meant to fool collectors.

It surely is. Which of the orders in the last photo with "all" of them display were actually made. I know the oak leaves one wasn't (as discussed here), and I've seen the one with swords (top left) but I've not seen the example with the eagle before.
Ed: Don't worry, I've found the other thread so shall read there.
