Like said totally crap. But what is more unbelievable is how this type of M1/128 fake found its way into the fancy book "German War Booty, a study of photographs", page 181. With as note written by the front and reverse picture:"Wolf - Hardin Collection."

                    Regards, Wim

                      Hi Wim,

I don't know that book unfortunately, but Wolf and Hardin should definately know better than this. Can't believe they would call this an original badge or want their name involved with it being called original.

                      regards,
                      Gaston

The Wolfe-Hardin one in the book is attributed to v. Schirach, and while it is marked #128, it is not the same as the badge in this thread--there are no holes in the reverse for the settings (and I am not going to get into whether it is real or not). According to the Ailsby book, there were only 3 examples made, all by Rath of Muenchen.

A bad b&W pic, but this is the one from the old Angolia book. Note how there is no gold visible between the rubies and diamonds:

That one is good! If thats the one from Wolfe-Hardin it's and original.

And there were more than three made like that i think.
