Great museum! Very impressive, other than the things you mentioned is everything original?

This is legal in Germany? I can't sell stuff there on ebay but this is fine?
            Great job by-the-way!

World class! Your War Merit Cross is upside down Fight the "dangerous do gooders" Who revise history in the name of what is "right'. History owes you a great debt for telling the truth.

                Hi friends,
Jon yest it is legal since it is a museum , an official one and therefor it is OK. It would not be OK to glorefy the NS time or sell or tarde anyhing with a swaz on it.. thats just how the germansysytem works. Even on fairs or shows the swaz has to be hidden by a pice of paper.... crazy! Therefore i lovethe SOS, his is how it shall be!

Andre, thanks very much for the hint! may have written about it and I changed itaready on the display! You are right about the do gooders.. they are even over here hahah!

Colt, yes almost all is original. A few things like the black SS uniform sa re special made repros since the original is way to expensive.

Gregorio, grazias!!! Maybe I wil get someday a pennat for trading your 171 pennat for the musem :-))

Thanks again ans as said when you are in Mannheim be sure to stop by!!
                regards
                Dirk

                      I'll be stopping by soon!!!

Great museum Dirk!!! I've seen these bunker buildings driving through Mannheim and I was surprised to see that some of them are several stories high. I've come across some "Hackenkreutzbanner" newspapers from Mannheim that I'm willing to donate if want to display them. Just great to see your in the area, I'll be gathering some friends to make a visit

                          New arrivals at the Museum!

                          Hello friends!
The museum is now open since 2 month and I wanted to take a small resumee how all went since then.
Quite some visitors came to the museum even without ads in the newspapers. Newspapers have a bit of a problem writing about this museum, since it deals with the third reich which is still here one of the Tabu Topics. nevertheless the visitors that come, love the exhibition and how it is put together. This weekend was fantastic, 20 Visitors in 3 hours . 2 where actally about 90 years old and had personally talked to H. Goering and H.Graff! So we talked about the HJ, BDM and how life was in those rough days. To round up the great day was a visit froma man , which father was a t the local Sandhofen Fliegerhorst. I wanted to meet him many time but 1!! day before we had made plans to visit he died. His son gave me all his papers etc form his time as a airplane mechanic at the fliegrhorst. Now after many years he came back and had a box full of more things he found while cleaning out his farthers house!! There were a set of , I think, collar tabs of Beamter Mittlerer dienst, collar cord and the matching shoulder boards, many stickpins which I do not all know what the7y were fore ( maybe someone can help me out?) wings for the LW collar tabs and a nice named grande pice with the date on it when it was found in Mannheim. Also my first!!! dogtag of the Fliegerhorst sandhofen ever!! This made my day!!
Also I got a question about the tabs: the 4 "stars" on it does that stand for hauptfeldwebel as an equevelent rank for a Beamter?
MArk - the museum is at 68307 Mannheim Sandhofen.
I will be happy to show you around when you stop over in Germany!!
                          All the best
                          Dirk

Outstanding presentation. Excellent too that you're able to preserve some items that have great stories attached to them. I wonder about the strategy of the German government of trying to keep nazism at bay. Covering swastikas up only makes them more interesting and turns them into a means of defying the state, hence making the whole thing more popular again. Anyway that has nothing to do with this. Great stuff.
