Compared to the BO and Gorget this is almost for free but this is what I got for Christmas.
An Arno Breker AH 50th anniversary plaque in really nice condition.
Goes along well with my Arno Breker " Reichskanzlei" plaque :-)
Quality is not always determined by value
Nice plaques ,love the second one especially and awesome gorget
Beautiful additions to any collection, Hakan -- certainly nothing to apologize for here! I have a Breker roundel casting in my collection, too, though it is one of his post-war offerings and without any National Socialist significance. But Breker's career was only beginning by 1945, though surely his most famous/notorious works were offered during the Third Reich; he continued to pour out artistic creations for more than another 45 years. A career span that's hard to duplicate! I always enjoy his bust of Salvador Dali, and I'm sure that the Nazi leadership portraits that he also cast in bronze are still spinning in their graves! Herr Professor Breker was indeed 'A Man for ALL Seasons!'
Got this plaque since before and is also signed by Arno Breker.
Stay safe all, Hakan
Nice Brekers! Here is my full size Breker that weighs about 30lbs. This plaque is made of cast iron and is thought to be from the new Reichs Chancellery.
Thanks for the tip, Erich! Do you have any idea where in the New Reichschancellery your Breker roundel might have been displayed? It certainly is impressive!

Br. James
From what I understand in was hung inside possibly in a hall way or entry. I' m still hoping to find a photo of it someday. It is an impressive piece and is about 43 cm in diameter.
Thanks, Erich. The Reichschancellery and the New Reichschancellery are favorites of mine so I'll keep an eye out for this roundel for you in the future.
Thanks for the input here guys much appriciated !
I have shown this before but this is a great Reichskanzlei item I got a while
back. It's Speers Die Neue Reichskanzlei, unread with dust cover and original
stamped wrapping paper.
Erich, that Breker of yours has to be the Breker of all Brekers :-)
Stay safe all, Hakan
Happy Christmas to you all on the political side.
my main Christmas present is not here yet but some of you will recognise it from this.....
Another is still under the tree and will be revealed tommorow
Hope you all get something nice
To set the record straight it turns out I didn't win this after all. My bid was the winning bid according to the results list but apparently it sold, for €1000 more and the results list is a miss print!!!?
However I'd be interested if anyone who was in the room could verify that to me please drop me a pm if you made notes on the hammer price in your book as I want to make sure there is nothing funny going on.
Did you made and sent a written pre-bid or did you bid via phone directly as the auction action regarding this piece took place?
Sure there´s something fishy going on - mis-print of result list...
I sent a written bid by e-mail that was accepted and then phoned in the morning and upped that bid on the phone, talking directly to Thies, not his staff. I need to speak with someone who was in the room and making notes, I always pencil in the hammer prices in my book if I'm at any auction, so this should show one way or the other what has gone on- honest or ?..
