Collar Tabs
Guaranteed authentic tabs for the Sturmabteilung (SA). No telling when the center pip was added, though, as they probably all originally matched each other. These are for the rank of Hauptsturmfuhrer, a Lower SA leader rank (officer). If the apple green color in the photo is accurate, the officer was in SA Gruppe Thuringen. If the color is darker than the photo suggests, they're for SA Gruppe Sachsen (Dresden), but they don't look dark enough to be emerald green. The two brown and white litzen are a later regulation, and were worn by ALL SA Gruppes except Marine-SA. The later style of embroidery on the tabs is consistent with the brown and white litzen as well. The piping looks OK too, although later officer tabs often had either white or yellow rayon twisted piping, depending on the specific Gruppe. No problem whatsoever with the tabs, except for the replaced pip, IMO. It COULD have been period re-applied, but my instinct says no.Comment
