    Hi Gerome,

According to the SS-DAL of 1938, there was a Dr. Ludwig Schneider serving on the staff of the SS-Hauptamt at that time; this person was born on December 14, 1907 and held the rank of SS-Obersturmführer at that time, his NSDAP number was 43701, his SS number was 280695, and he held 1st Issue Blood Order number 1041. Also of note: this person's large GPB was offered for sale by Tom Wittmann in November of 2010. None of this information connects this person with the Party Court system and thus to this PL cap, of course, but the name is the same. Hope this is helpful to your research.

How do I know it is him?
is that members of the Supreme Court addressed the cap or just the members of the courts?
        thank you to all

Another question would be, mightn't the oval owner tab be "Sch" rather than "S" for a man named Schneider?
