Luftwaffe-HJ Officer Visor

(I was in the running to buy this, but the price got too expensive with the exchange rate of the Euro, etc). In any event, it is a rare hat for the Flieger HJ, and rarer still in that it is for the intermediate ranks of Gefolgschaftsfuhrer to Oberstammfuhrer. In lieu of the velvet band, it has the same wool as the top body of the cap. Also, it has the Flieger-HJ blue piping around the crown:

This is what is interesting. The owner removed the LW schwingen, and found an HJ diamond. What may have happened is that the LW ordered the wings in place of the sole HJ diamond at some point:

That's a great cap, Stonemint, and I wish you could have gotten it. Here's a private purchase for an HJ at the Fliegervorschule. Never had wreath and wings, just the HJ diamond with no other holes in the band.

Once upon a time, I had a tunic from an HJ officer at a Vorschule, but in a weak moment sold it to Weitze. I've been kicking myself ever since......

Wow, this thread did not get the interest I suspected it would--I guess interest in HJ really is down.
