Yes, that's something you always have to fear.

Diplo uniforms aren't my field of expertise, but I don't like this one for these reasons: I've never seen an original jacket with less than 8 buttons (4 per side). Tailor labels will normally have the actual date or at least the month and year. The number '10' would indicate either this tailor shop had only 9 customers by 1937, or this relatively low ranking individual had been a customer for a long time, or whoever filled out the label didn't realize what the number is supposed to represent. Lastly, even though diplo sleeve insignia varies greatly in quality, and in the Angolia book there are 10 or 12 examples ranging in appearance from heroic eagle to the vulture in the Bugs Bunny cartoons, this one doesn't seem to have the details I would want to see. I'm less confident in my diplo insignia detective skills, but the other reasons outlined above should be pretty accurate.

IN general it seems to pass the "no fast red flag "test.
see if you can do a search of the name. most likely you won't find much But, who knows.
I love the over all quality of the uniform , specially the pay group patch.
you might have a winner here .

Mine they are not the uniforms, but ami seems to me original. At the moment I am making an retort of uniform of diplomatic German and have seen many images on other equal jackets. it seems good to me comparing with those photos. By experience that in addition it is very difficult to find bellboys diplomatic to relocate in another jacket that is not original, although nonimpossible. What if draws attention it is that all the jackets that we see in the photos they have 4 buttons as another companion of the forum says… the photos are seen

it is no real diplomatic uniform

i thinks that goverment/diplomatic uniform is a fake. i mean untill 1938 diplomats use civil clotes and the first uniform of the goverment and diplomatic corps was used on a visit to italy

Good point. Diplo uniforms were not issued until the State Visit to Italy in the Spring of 1938, however, even then the uniforms were prototypes and not of this style.

I don't have my books at hand, but I do not believe this type of uniform was authorized until 1939.

Looking for uniform similar in Internet, I have seen some of the almost equal NVA, reason why I suspect that the uniform of Aenobarbo can be a assembly. I believe that I was mistaken when assuring that he was authentic. They see these images:

The uniforms of the NVA if that has 4 buttons like the one of Aenobarbo

Here is my uniform, this one seems to have the correct amount of buttons. But this is not a diplomat.
                        The collar is black velvet.
