The person from whom I bought this vetted it, but now it's my turn to check it out. This cross wieghs 37.2 grams and measures 49.5 mm across. It looks good in my hands, solid and tight, but that only accounts for so much. What do yo guys think?

Alex, thanks. Could you give me a couple of reasons why. I checked the Carsten Baldes archives and I didn't get much help. If this Order is bad, I will need to give the seller a reason to return it. He gave himself an "out" by saying that it could be a post-war piece made from the original molds.Comment

It's a cheap copy - I think the last original I saw for sale (Bill Shea) was $16,000. If you bought it for a lot less than that, you have your answer.
Quick reason aside from overall quality - no "ties" behind the laurel leaves of the Fuess-style GPB centre.Comment
