HJ Leader's Cap

Recently dug out of storage. I obtained this cap circa 1991. It shows some wear and age but overall a nice example of an HJ Leader's Cap.

Is there a way of dating the cap based on the style and info of the tag?

I would guesstimate it is a circa 1943 make.
