HJ shirt at e-stand not original

    Hello mates,

this shirt is not an original worn shirt, the insignia are wrong.
    http://wehrmacht-awards.com/forums/s...d.php?t=533168

Cheap Flieger HJ boards of an hoard find (663 = Litzmannstadt ---> triangle must be "Ost Wartheland") put on a Köperbluse with DJ insignia.

    Regards,
    Sven.

The item should be discussed. I agree, that insignia combination is incorrect for a period HJ shirt. With that triangle and Sigrune a sinlge black DJ strap from the correctly numbered Bann should be on the left shoulder only.

      Insigna are OK.

Shirt could be Ok, but what a horrible stitch work!!! It's a very ugly blouse, i would'nt buy it because of the combination of the insigna, the look of the shirt/buttons and the bad stitch work. And the price? Wtf?

As said.. could be ok. But not for my collection.

      I disagree with that.
I seen enough period pictures of so called ''DJ leaders'' with HJ shoulderstraps and a DJ sigrune.

Not correct, you saw DJ leader boards which are in HJ style and size but with grey piping instead of red/light blue/white or yellow.

I agree the insignia all appear original, but would not be worn in that combination on the shirt during the period. The straps and triangle combination do not match by any stretch of the imagination. Bann 663 was not located anywhere near that Gebiet. As for the price anyone is free to ask whatever they chose as a selling price on an item they own. Here is a photo HJ Strief and DJ Leader straps side by side comparison to answer your question Michael. Note the mouse grey piping and numeral on the Bann 447 Wolfenbuttel DJ Fahnlienfuhrer strap when compared to the stark white of the Striefendienst strap. While HJ insignia anomolies do exist as shown in period photos the bann number and triangle combination of the shirt offered is not correct.

Edit: the correct bann numbers for the Nord Nordsee Gebiet according to the Saris reference are as follows:
            59,75,78,91,148,191,225,236,239,251,262,267,284,28 6,381,382,383,500,691,692,and 748.

its a put together jacket, these turn up all the time on dealers site they get a plain jacket and put any spare insignia on it and knock the price up .
not saying this is what the seller has done he has probably bought it this way , people who dont collect hj/dj dont realise sometimes how significant the bann numbers and triangles are

A correction, the single DJ strap was worn on the right shoulder, not the left as stated in my previous post.

Just saw this. A few points:

                    1) I am NOT a dealer. Although it may seem that way, its not the case. I have bought a myriad of collecting areas over 30 yrs. Just at the point in my life that I need to let go of things - I want to buy my son a used car.

                    2) I haven't ever have modified anything purchased. It is as I bought it. If an item is missing a button - that's how it stays.

                    3) This is how I purchased it from a private source in Germany when I was stationed there. It is how I got it. I am not a HJ specific collector - I found it interesting and representative of that time, so I bought it.

                    4) Reference prices - its all subjective. If someone finds it a fair price they buy it, if they think its too high they won't. Noone ever comments when the price is too low. Price opinions vary - ask 10 people get 10 views. I thought it was a fair price, but I could be wrong.

Please don't impugn on my integrity. If its wrong - so be it. It wasn't done by me. I would never buy something stripped and hump it up. Besides, who would hump something up wrong and try to sell it? That would be pretty dumb on their part. (but I guess since everyone thinks its wrong, I am the dumber person for buying it.)

                    Thank you.
                    Jeff

                      hi jeff

i clearly stated in my above post that this was not what the seller has done and has probably bought it this way.

maybe you should read my post through again, i never thought you was a dealer or mentioned it
