Interesting Political Leaders tab..what is it?

Gents, here is an odd duck 3rd(?) pattern tab that has a very interesting swastika device on it... This came in with a lot of NSKK and SA tabs etc. from a older gentleman at a gun show near Toronto.When questioned at the table, he said that it had always been that way for as long as he had had it..1946-47 I believe.

I will go with the idea that it was placed there at some point post war until shown otherwise..the tab did have the fabric strips at some point and the device is bedded down quite deeply into the fabric of the tab.

Any ideas? Was this an attempt at some sort of Sonderbeautragter tab, as this designation was not 'officially' available at the Ortsgruppe level?

Whatever it is, it is interesting looking!...

Not PL related, probably post war fantasy

with all the sew holes , looks like it was an original item & some one pulled the 2 pieces of tress off ;AND later added the swastika.
not exactly regulation shape either.

but, what it was ... 2d pattern (34-39), Orts level , Zellenleiter (cell leader).
it had tress of gold color , with little swastikas on it. only 2 ranks higher for this level.
swastika might be a original item = for what ???? jeff

I am sure the tab itself is period, I am just saying the addition of the swastika is probably post war. That large of a swastika was not used on any political leaders tabs, even at the Sonderbeauftrager level.
