    Tabs

I just now looked at the closeups of the tabs, and admit they look pretty good. (Not referring to the metal parts) However, to just say that they were ALL foot units in essence, so the shoulderboards are OK, is a stretch. Looks more to me like someone was trying to match grey shoulderboards to grey collar tabs. The guy who wrote the sale description doesn't know what he's talking about, or he would have known that the "X" was a Sturmbann number, and would have known that's it's not from Berlin. With the plethora of put-together SA tunics and shirts out there, EVERYTHING has to be scrutinized closely. The SA regs were so complex and diverse, it's really hard to know it all. So when something doesn't seem "kosher", it usually isn't. PS: Not saying it's what happened here, but blank grey SA tabs + metal numerals (they're all over the gun shows), + piping + pips = A Great Outfit. Any shadow on the sleeve of a Signal Blitz?

I'm not saying in essence as in possibly all foot units, I'm saying the books I have state, the GG SA were all volksdeutsche and used as foot units for civil defence.
You must remember we are not talking 1930s SA units here but occupied lands, things were completely off the rail in the GG, they didn't call it the wild wild east for nothing
To the tunic, it's a possible explanation for the tabs, would i buy it? no

I have never heard of a Standarte 7 in the GG and as far as I know the color for signals is yellow (surely since 1939), surely with the shoulder-boards. Isn't Laurens from the Netherlands on WAF? He could and would know what is "wrong"!

Thanks for your trust, but you don't need me, because you already solved it yourself!

As it's a Nachrichten-Einheit, the underlay of the shoulderboard must be yellow from July'39.

            Best,
            Laurens

Fakers are ALWAYS trying to match colored underlay with matching colored tabs on late pieces, but it just wasnt that way.I think there is a tunic on here with Nordmark Green tabs trying to match with Jager Green boards just because they matched and thought they belonged as Nordmark boards.
Nothing new with SA fakers, never right.
