Cigar case/box

Hello all,

The eagle doesn't have wings, but the actual box does look period to me. Any opinions on this one?

Hi William,

Looks life a fairly early piece; the eagle might be the M-27 design. Hard to really tell without the wings! Are there any maker's marks or silver content stamps anywhere? How is the eagle/swas held in place; is it loose on the lid, meaning able to be turned without coming off? And lastly, from the inside photo you've provided, it looks like the eagle/swas is attached by a stud close to the hinge side -- yes? Again, an interesting piece. Thanks for sharing.
