Sympathizer Stick Pin

Here's a nice Sympathizer stick pin I just picked up. Everything seems to be right. It measures 15.5 mm's. The back has no RZM or maker marks. And if you read Josef's NSDAP badge website, (and I highly recommend this) these badges usually never came marked.

Hi Mike, finding any Sympathy badge (not Slogan) that is marked will be hard. This usually is only seen with the Austrian made badges before the total ban of 1933. Not saying that no more were produced in Austria between 1933-38, they most likely were, they just would not have been maker marked though during that period. (Same as the banned time in Germany between 1921-1925)

If marked, then only with the Makers initials or name. If RZM marked, then you can throw it away as they were not. (not even by mistake) There was a specific RZM rule pertaining to the Abuse of their Symbol and how it was not allowed to be used on Non-official items. The only RZM marked Sympathy (not Slogan) badges i know of, were American made in the 1960`s, M. Pinkus had one on his site that he was in 2 minds about (There are original catalog pictures of the USA made ones somewhere here on WAF, with a funny egg shaped swivel attachment)
